In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and high-quality localized content for our games, ensuring that they are accurately translated and culturally adapted for players around the world. We are looking for someone who is creative, adaptable, and has a strong understanding of the gaming industry.   1. Create high-quality localized content for Nintendo games, ensuring accuracy and cultural adaptation for global audiences.
  2. Write and edit game scripts, dialogue, and other in-game text in multiple languages.
  3. Conduct research on different cultures and languages to ensure accurate representation in game content.
  4. Collaborate with localization team members to ensure consistency and quality in translations.
  5. Coordinate with game developers and project managers to meet deadlines and project requirements.
  6. Review and provide feedback on translations from external localization vendors.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and gaming culture to ensure content is relevant and engaging.
  8. Develop and maintain style guides and glossaries for consistent use across all games.
  9. Proofread and edit game text for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  10. Test localized versions of games to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  11. Assist in the localization of marketing materials and other related content.
  12. Help identify and resolve any cultural or linguistic issues that may arise during the localization process.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and game development, to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
  14. Continuously seek out ways to improve and streamline the localization process.
  15. Adhere to Nintendo's standards and guidelines for content creation and localization.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Writing Skills In Both English And Japanese, With A Strong Understanding Of Cultural Nuance And Localization Best Practices.

  • Experience In Video Game Localization, Preferably With A Focus On Japanese To English Translation.

  • Proficiency In Various Translation And Localization Tools, Such As Cat Tools And Glossary Management Software.

  • Strong Knowledge And Passion For Nintendo Games And Franchises, With The Ability To Maintain The Company's Unique Tone And Style In Writing.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Team, As Well As Independently, And Meet Tight Deadlines While Maintaining High Quality Standards.
