Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Merchant to join our Men's Merchandising team for Lifestyle Apparel. As a Senior Merchant, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of our men's lifestyle apparel category. We are looking for a passionate individual who is well-versed in the fashion and retail industry, has a strong understanding of consumer behavior, and is able to lead a team to success. If you have a strong business acumen, an eye for trend forecasting, and a deep passion for the Nike brand, we want to hear from you.

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and success of the men's lifestyle apparel category within the overall Nike brand.
  2. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform merchandising decisions and identify new opportunities for growth.
  3. Lead a team of merchandisers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cohesive and innovative product assortments.
  4. Manage the product lifecycle process, from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals and standards.
  5. Analyze sales data and consumer behavior to make informed decisions on product assortment, pricing, and distribution.
  6. Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure the creation of products that align with brand vision and meet market demands.
  7. Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms for sourcing and production.
  8. Monitor and analyze market and competitor activity to inform pricing and promotional strategies.
  9. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting merchandising plans and results.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all merchandising activities.
  11. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve merchandising strategies and processes.
  12. Represent the Nike brand and values in all interactions, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Merchandising Team, The Senior Merchant Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Merchandisers. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Develop Team Members, Are Essential For This Role.

  • Analytical And Strategic Mindset: The Senior Merchant Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Effectively Analyze Market Data, Sales Reports, And Other Metrics To Identify Opportunities And Make Informed Merchandising Decisions.
