  1. Conduct thorough research and provide expert legal advice on employment law matters to the company and its employees.
  2. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Nike's corporate culture and values, and ensure that all legal advice and decisions align with these principles.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, to proactively identify and address potential legal issues related to employment practices.
  4. Review and draft employment-related contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  5. Advise on and handle complex employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes.
  6. Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations and proactively implement necessary changes to company policies and practices.
  7. Lead investigations into workplace complaints and provide guidance on appropriate resolutions.
  8. Provide training and guidance to management and employees on legal matters pertaining to employment law.
  9. Assist with developing and implementing strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  10. Represent the company in negotiations and disputes with employees, government agencies, and other external parties.
  11. Manage external legal counsel and ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal services are provided.
  12. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  13. Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive legal matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience Practicing Employment Law, Preferably In A Corporate Or In-House Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Employment Laws, Including Title Vii, Fmla, Ada, And Flsa.

  • Experience Providing Legal Counsel And Guidance On Complex Human Resources And Employment-Related Issues.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage A Team Of Attorneys And Support Staff.
