Job Description

As a Principal Cyber Defense Incident Response Coordinator at Nike, you will play a crucial role in protecting our brand and ensuring the safety of our customers' data.   1. Lead and manage the incident response team, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient and effective response to cyber attacks.
  2. Develop and implement proactive strategies and processes to prevent and mitigate potential cyber threats, staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and communication departments, to ensure a coordinated and timely response to cyber incidents.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations of cyber incidents, analyzing data and evidence to determine the scope and impact of the attack.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity experts, to enhance incident response capabilities.
  6. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures, ensuring they are regularly updated and tested.
  7. Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management and stakeholders on incident response activities and outcomes.
  8. Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, proactively identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  9. Train and educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and incident response protocols to enhance overall cyber resilience.
  10. Represent Nike in industry forums and conferences, sharing knowledge and expertise on incident response and contributing to the development of industry standards and practices.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Principal Cyber Defense Incident Response Coordinator, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Leading A Team Of Cyber Security Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Experience In Incident Response Management: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Managing Cyber Security Incidents And Leading Response Efforts. This Includes Experience In Conducting Post-Incident Analysis And Developing Remediation Plans.

  • Technical Expertise In Network And System Security: In Order To Effectively Respond To Cyber Security Incidents, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Network And System Security. This Includes Proficiency In Tools Such As Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls, And Security Information And Event Management (Siem) Systems.

  • Ability To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions: Cyber Security Incidents Can Be Complex And Fast-Moving, Requiring The Candidate To Think Critically And Make Timely Decisions.
