I have an external HDD that I want to use as a backup drive. It's 1.5TB and I'm using it to back up my main 1TB drive. I want to use ZFS on it, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I've read a few guides, but they all seem to be for people who are doing everything from scratch. I just want to use ZFS on an existing drive. It's already formatted as NTFS, so I'm not sure if I need to reformat it to use ZFS. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. Any help would be appreciated.
