
Registered Nurse - Psychiatric ICU

- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients with acute mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' mental health status, including any changes or updates.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication administration records.
- Respond to emergencies and crisis situations in a calm and efficient manner.
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensure they receive the highest level of care and treatment.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure compliance and patient safety.
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided, utilizing evidence-based practices and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Serve as a role model for nursing staff and students, promoting the values and mission of the hospital.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the nurse manager or physician.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of New York
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Psychiatric Icu Or Related Mental Health Setting
Certification In Psychiatric Nursing (Rn-Bc) From The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc)
Bls And Acls Certification From The American Heart Association
