  1. Administer specialized treatments to oncology patients in a safe and effective manner.
  2. Provide compassionate and personalized care to patients, taking into consideration their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' condition and report any changes to the physician.
  4. Educate patients and their families about treatments, side effects, and self-care techniques.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  6. Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and respond to potential complications or adverse reactions.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medication administration and treatment progress.
  8. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and fears related to their illness and treatment.
  10. Stay current on advancements and developments in oncology treatments and procedures, attending relevant training and educational opportunities.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
  12. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.
  14. Continuously assess and evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to the care plan.
  15. Display a professional and caring attitude at all times, promoting a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree From An Accredited Institution

  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of New York

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Infusion Oncology Or Related Specialty

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications

  • Strong Clinical Assessment And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Patients And Tasks Simultaneously.
