- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes in their health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and document all patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their needs and concerns are addressed and their rights are respected.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Stay up-to-date with current medical practices and advancements in emergency medicine, and participate in continuing education and training programs.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Serve as a role model for other staff members by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures within the Emergency Department.
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster a culture of respect and collaboration within the department and hospital.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or other supervisors.
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Program.
Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of New York.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Emergency Department Setting.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Remain Calm And Organized In High-Stress Situations.
