- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, monitor, and treat patients in critical situations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Active Rn License In The State Of New York: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Must Hold A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of New York, Ensuring That They Have Met All Necessary Education And Training Requirements.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Emergency Department Setting: Newyork-Presbyterian Hospital Is Looking For Rns With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Emergency Department, As This Will Ensure That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Fast-Paced And High-Pressure Environment Of The Ed.
Bls And Acls Certifications: As Emergency Situations Can Arise At Any Time, It Is Crucial For An Ed Nurse To Be Certified In Both Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls).
Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: Emergency Department Nurses Must Be Able To Think Quickly And Make Sound Decisions In High-Stress Situations. This Requires Strong Critical Thinking Skills And The Ability To Problem-Solve Effectively.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Ed Nurses Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced And Often Chaotic Environment. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Build Trust And Establish Rapport With Patients And Their Families.
