
Physician Assistant - Surgical Services

- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the surgical services department.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct physical exams and record medical histories for patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparations and post-operative care.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Stay current on advancements in surgical medicine and techniques.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Mentor and train new physician assistants and other medical staff.
- Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with all members of the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Environment.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Surgical Procedures, Equipment, And Sterile Techniques.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment.
