  1. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
  2. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  3. Prescribe medications and treatments under the supervision of a physician.
  4. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in Internal Medicine and healthcare practices.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Physician Assistant Program: Candidates Should Have A Degree From An Accredited Physician Assistant Program, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In Medical Knowledge And Clinical Skills.

  • Certification By The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa): This Certification Demonstrates A Thorough Understanding Of The Core Competencies Required For Practicing As A Physician Assistant.

  • Licensure In The State Of New York: Candidates Must Possess A Valid New York State License To Practice As A Physician Assistant.

  • Previous Experience In Internal Medicine: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In An Internal Medicine Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Physician Assistant, Effective Communication And Collaboration With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Excel In This Role.
