- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various radiographic equipment, ensuring high quality images are obtained.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as directed by radiologists.
- Maintain and operate radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions.
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper positioning and adequate exposure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of images.
- Maintain patient records and document all procedures performed.
- Keep abreast of new developments in radiology technology and techniques, and attend continuing education programs as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the radiology department.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct at all times.
Completion Of An Accredited Radiologic Technology Program And Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Radiology Technician, With A Focus On Diagnostic Imaging And Procedures.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Operate And Troubleshoot Various Radiology Equipment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
Flexible Availability And Willingness To Work On An As-Needed Basis, Including Weekdays, Weekends, And Holidays.
