- Provide advanced nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patients in the intensive care unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for critically ill children and infants.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and comprehensive care for patients.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care in all aspects of practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric and neonatal care.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all patient interactions.
- Foster a culture of safety and infection control in the unit.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in unit meetings and committees.
Current Rn License In The State Of New York.
Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Pediatric Or Neonatal Care.
Certification As A Pediatric Or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pediatric Or Neonatal Icu Setting.
Advanced Knowledge Of Critical Care Procedures And Protocols For Pediatric And Neonatal Patients.
