We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Laboratory Technologist to join our Lab Service Core team on the night shift. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise and knowledge to perform a variety of laboratory tests, analyze results, and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.   1. Conduct laboratory tests: Perform a variety of laboratory tests using specialized equipment and techniques in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Analyze test results: Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze test results and identify any abnormalities or discrepancies, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  3. Assist in diagnosis and treatment: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by providing accurate and timely laboratory test results.
  4. Maintain equipment: Ensure that all laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly to ensure accurate test results.
  5. Record and report data: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed and report results in a timely manner, following established protocols.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments: Continuously stay informed about new developments and innovations in the field of laboratory technology to enhance knowledge and skills.
  8. Collaborate with team members: Work closely with other laboratory technologists and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow and collaborate on complex cases.
  9. Perform quality control: Conduct regular quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision of test results.
  10. Maintain cleanliness: Keep the laboratory clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  11. Train new employees: Assist in training new laboratory technologists and provide guidance and support as needed.
  12. Adhere to hospital policies: Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
  13. Participate in professional development: Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay updated on industry developments and enhance knowledge and skills.
  14. Support patient care: Work with a sense of urgency to provide accurate and timely results that directly impact patient care and treatment decisions.
  15. Maintain professionalism: Represent the hospital in a professional and ethical manner, fostering a positive and caring environment for patients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Current Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) From A Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agency (E.g. Ascp, Amt, Aab).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A High-Volume Hospital Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures, Instrumentation, And Quality Control Processes.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment, With Excellent Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills.
