  1. Provide exceptional care to patients in the Cardiothoracic Step-Down unit.
  2. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic information.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  5. Assist in procedures and surgeries related to cardiovascular and thoracic care.
  6. Educate patients and their families on post-procedural care and self-management techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  10. Continuously assess and improve patient care practices by staying updated on new techniques and technologies.
  11. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
  12. Prioritize and triage patient needs based on acuity and urgency.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  14. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Active Rn License In New York State

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Cardiac Step-Down Unit

  • Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls)

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiovascular And Respiratory Systems And Related Medical Equipment
