Job Description

Are you passionate about Journalism and looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? New York University is looking for an Undergraduate Student Advisor - Journalism to provide support and guidance to our students in the Journalism Department. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the challenges and rewards of academic study and be passionate about student success. This position requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the Journalism field and a commitment to helping our students reach their academic and career goals. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field• Three years of experience in student services, academic advising, or a related field• Experience in a college or university setting• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations• Understanding of the journalism field• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Knowledge of student success strategies, advising systems, and academic policies
