
Undergraduate Program Administrator - Psychology

- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the undergraduate program, including scheduling courses, maintaining records, and coordinating events and meetings.
- Serve as a point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding program policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to undergraduate students, assisting with course selection, degree planning, and other academic needs.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure course offerings meet program requirements and address student needs.
- Develop and maintain program materials, such as handbooks, course catalogs, and informational brochures.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of academic standing, grades, and graduation requirements.
- Coordinate and assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new undergraduate students.
- Assist with the planning and execution of department events, such as orientations, open houses, and information sessions.
- Manage the budget for the undergraduate program, tracking expenses and ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Stay informed about changes in university policies and procedures and communicate updates to students and faculty as necessary.
- Work with other departments and offices within the university to ensure the smooth operation of the undergraduate program.
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development and improvement of the undergraduate program.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
- Continuously strive to improve the undergraduate program and identify opportunities for growth and development.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Psychology Is Essential For An Undergraduate Program Administrator In Psychology At Nyu. A Bachelor's Degree In Psychology Or A Related Field Will Provide The Necessary Knowledge And Understanding Of The Field To Effectively Support The Program.
Experience In Program Administration: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Program Administration, Preferably In An Academic Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Manage Program Logistics, Handle Administrative Tasks, And Work With Diverse Stakeholders.
