  1. Plan and execute a variety of events and programs that promote student involvement and enhance the overall student experience.
  2. Collaborate with the Student Engagement team to develop and implement strategies for creating a vibrant and inclusive campus community.
  3. Foster a sense of community among students by organizing activities and initiatives that encourage students to connect with one another.
  4. Serve as a resource for students by providing information and guidance on campus resources and opportunities.
  5. Work closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure events and programs align with the university's mission and values.
  6. Communicate effectively with students and stakeholders to promote events and programs and gather feedback.
  7. Manage event logistics such as scheduling, venue reservations, budgeting, and coordinating with vendors.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with student organizations and other campus partners to collaborate on events and initiatives.
  9. Utilize creativity to come up with new and innovative ideas for engaging students and creating a sense of community.
  10. Act as a role model for students by demonstrating a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  11. Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of student volunteers and staff for events and programs.
  12. Stay informed about current trends and best practices in student engagement to continuously improve programming.
  13. Maintain accurate records and data related to events and programs for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  14. Serve as an ambassador for the university by promoting NYU and its values to students, families, and the community.
  15. Act as a liaison between students and the university administration to address concerns and suggestions for improving the student experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Education, Communications, Or Social Work.

  • Experience In Student Engagement: Previous Experience Working In A Student Engagement Or Similar Role Is Highly Desirable. This Could Include Experience In Student Organizations, Event Planning, Or Student Leadership Programs.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Engage With A Diverse Student Population Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Organizational Skills: The Student Engagement Assistant Will Be Responsible For Planning And Executing Events And Programs, So Strong Organizational Skills Are A Must. Candidates Should Be Able To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
