  1. Develop and maintain relationships with various departments and stakeholders to coordinate and plan successful events and programs.
  2. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and programs to the NYU community.
  3. Create and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are accounted for and within budget.
  4. Research and secure event venues, catering, and other necessary vendors.
  5. Coordinate event logistics such as scheduling, set-up, registration, and signage.
  6. Manage event registration and RSVPs, including tracking attendance and communicating important event details to attendees.
  7. Prepare event materials, including agendas, presentations, and handouts.
  8. Set and maintain high standards for event execution and ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
  9. Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures and manage any risk factors associated with events.
  10. Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for improvement for future events.
  11. Oversee and manage event volunteers and student workers.
  12. Maintain accurate records of event attendance and expenses for reporting purposes.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event planning to enhance the quality of NYU events.
  14. Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
  15. Represent NYU in a professional and welcoming manner at all events and programs.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Event Planning And Coordination, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle Multiple Tasks And Events Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders Including Students, Faculty, Staff, And External Vendors.

  • Proficiency In Event Management Software, Microsoft Office, And Other Relevant Technology Tools.
