  1. Operate and maintain various types of manual and computer-controlled machines in the machine shop.
  2. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce accurate and precise parts.
  3. Troubleshoot and problem-solve machine malfunctions to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  4. Collaborate with faculty and students to understand their research and educational needs and provide appropriate machining solutions.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  6. Maintain an organized and clean work environment in the machine shop.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machines.
  8. Order and maintain inventory of necessary supplies and tools.
  9. Train and mentor students and other team members on proper machine operation and safety procedures.
  10. Continuously improve and update machining techniques and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and meets project requirements.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in machining technology.
  13. Assist in the design and fabrication of custom parts and tools as needed.
  14. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to outsource machining services when necessary.
  15. Maintain accurate records of machine usage, maintenance, and repairs.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Operating And Programming Cnc Machines.

  • Proficiency In Using Cad/Cam Software For Designing And Programming Parts.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Machining Processes, Materials, And Tools.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings And Blueprints.
