- Develop and implement effective security measures to protect the university's sensitive information and systems.
- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify areas of improvement.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and providing recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure security controls are implemented and maintained throughout the university.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and best practices to continuously improve the university's security posture.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct security awareness and training sessions for faculty, staff, and students to promote a culture of security.
- Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments on security-related issues.
- Perform regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Communicate security risks and recommendations to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Collaborate with external security partners and vendors to enhance the university's security capabilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security tools and technologies to enhance the university's security posture.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Network And System Security Protocols, Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection And Prevention Systems, And Vulnerability Management.
Experience With Security Tools And Technologies, Including Siem, Antivirus Software, And Encryption Methods.
Familiarity With Industry Standards And Best Practices, Such As Iso 27001 And Nist Cybersecurity Framework.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Security Risks And Threats.
