Clinician – Counseling and Wellness Services

Welcome to New York University's Counseling and Wellness Services team! We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinician to join our team and provide exceptional mental health services to our diverse student population. 1. Administer individual and group counseling sessions to students, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to address their mental health needs.
2. Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques to assess and treat a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and stress management.
3. Conduct crisis intervention services for students in urgent need of immediate mental health support.
4. Collaborate with other members of the Counseling and Wellness Services team to develop and implement outreach programs and events that promote mental health and wellness on campus.
5. Maintain accurate and confidential records for all counseling sessions and crisis interventions, following ethical and legal guidelines.
6. Stay up-to-date on best practices and current research in the field of mental health counseling, incorporating new techniques and approaches into counseling sessions as appropriate.
7. Provide consultation and support to university staff and faculty regarding student mental health concerns.
8. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss student cases and ensure the provision of high-quality services.
9. Support a diverse student population and address cultural sensitivity and competency in counseling practices.
10. Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines and regulations related to mental health counseling, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
