- Develop and implement undergraduate admissions and access strategies that align with the university's mission of diversity and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure a seamless and fair admissions process.
- Oversee the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented and marginalized communities.
- Lead and supervise a team of admissions counselors and staff to achieve enrollment goals and promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for prospective students.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in admissions and access in higher education, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other partners to enhance recruitment efforts and outreach to diverse student populations.
- Analyze data and metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions for admissions and access strategies.
- Represent the university at recruitment events and conferences, advocating for the institution's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with financial aid and scholarship offices to ensure financial barriers are addressed for underrepresented students.
- Develop and manage admissions and access budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Serve as a resource and advisor to students, families, and staff on matters related to admissions and access.
- Uphold and promote the university's policies and procedures related to admissions and access.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all team members.
- Stay informed of changing laws and regulations related to admissions and access, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies.
- Participate in strategic planning and goal-setting for the admissions and access department.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Admissions Professionals.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Or Marketing.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Admissions Or Recruitment At A College Or University.
In-Depth Knowledge Of College Admissions Processes, Including Recruitment Strategies, Application Review, And Enrollment Management.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage With Diverse Populations And Represent The University To Prospective Students And Families.
