
Administrative Aide - Undergraduate College: Student Experience

- Provide administrative support to the Undergraduate College Student Experience team.
- Assist with planning and organizing events and programs aimed at enhancing the student experience.
- Maintain and update student records and databases.
- Respond to inquiries and concerns from students and their families, demonstrating a high level of empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure a seamless and positive student experience.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to enhance the student experience.
- Manage and maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Create and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters and flyers, to keep students informed about upcoming events and resources.
- Assist with budget management and financial tracking for student experience initiatives.
- Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions to stay informed about university policies and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for students and their families during orientation and other events.
- Continuously stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to student experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As An Administrative Aide, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing Various Tasks And Deadlines. Thus, They Should Possess Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills To Ensure All Tasks Are Completed Efficiently And On Time.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Will Be Interacting With Students, Faculty, And Staff On A Daily Basis, And Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate In A Professional And Friendly Manner.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Computer Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Proficiency In Microsoft Office, Including Word, Excel, And Powerpoint. They Should Also Be Comfortable Using Other Computer Programs And Have The Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues.
Experience In A Customer Service Role: The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Customer Service Role, As They Will Be Assisting Students And Other Members Of The University Community. They Should Have A Friendly And Helpful Demeanor And Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism.
Knowledge Of University Policies And Procedures: Familiarity With The Policies And Procedures Of New York University Is An Important Qualification For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of The University's Structure, Regulations, And Resources In Order To Effectively Support Students And Faculty.
