As an Administrative Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the student experience at NYU.   1. Provide administrative support to the Undergraduate College Student Experience team.
  2. Assist with planning and organizing events and programs aimed at enhancing the student experience.
  3. Maintain and update student records and databases.
  4. Respond to inquiries and concerns from students and their families, demonstrating a high level of empathy and professionalism.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure a seamless and positive student experience.
  6. Proactively identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to enhance the student experience.
  7. Manage and maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  8. Create and distribute communication materials, such as newsletters and flyers, to keep students informed about upcoming events and resources.
  9. Assist with budget management and financial tracking for student experience initiatives.
  10. Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions to stay informed about university policies and procedures.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for students and their families during orientation and other events.
  12. Continuously stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to student experience.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  14. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As An Administrative Aide, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing Various Tasks And Deadlines. Thus, They Should Possess Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills To Ensure All Tasks Are Completed Efficiently And On Time.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Will Be Interacting With Students, Faculty, And Staff On A Daily Basis, And Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate In A Professional And Friendly Manner.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Computer Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Proficiency In Microsoft Office, Including Word, Excel, And Powerpoint. They Should Also Be Comfortable Using Other Computer Programs And Have The Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues.

  • Experience In A Customer Service Role: The Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In A Customer Service Role, As They Will Be Assisting Students And Other Members Of The University Community. They Should Have A Friendly And Helpful Demeanor And Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism.

  • Knowledge Of University Policies And Procedures: Familiarity With The Policies And Procedures Of New York University Is An Important Qualification For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of The University's Structure, Regulations, And Resources In Order To Effectively Support Students And Faculty.
