Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Academic Program Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our academic programs and ensuring their smooth operation.   1. Assist with the coordination and implementation of academic programs at New York University.
  2. Provide administrative support to faculty and staff within the academic department.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student enrollment, grades, and academic progress.
  4. Organize and schedule meetings, events, and other activities related to academic programs.
  5. Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff regarding academic programs and policies.
  6. Monitor and track budget expenditures for academic programs, including purchasing and reconciling expenses.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and university offices to ensure the smooth operation of academic programs.
  8. Assist in developing and updating program materials, such as course catalogs, syllabi, and program handbooks.
  9. Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to support academic program initiatives and partnerships.
  10. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new students and faculty for academic programs.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with university policies.
  12. Stay current on university policies and procedures related to academic programs and communicate changes to relevant parties.
  13. Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to academic programs.
  14. Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues or concerns related to academic programs and bring them to the attention of the appropriate parties.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the academic department and across the university.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.

  • Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Education, Communications, Or Business Administration.

  • Experience Working In A Higher Education Setting, Preferably In An Administrative Or Support Role.
