- Design and plan civil and structural engineering projects for power generation and transmission facilities in accordance with industry standards and codes.
- Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure project designs meet safety, efficiency, and sustainability goals.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project needs and identify potential problems.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed plans, calculations, and drawings.
- Analyze data and perform calculations to determine project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, and other technical documents prepared by junior engineers or external contractors.
- Monitor project progress and provide guidance and support to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve project designs and processes.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
- Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines in the design, construction, and maintenance of facilities.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and provide technical expertise and guidance to support their development.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential improvements and cost-saving measures for existing facilities.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of project details, including design changes, calculations, and correspondence.
- Promote a culture of sustainability and innovation within the organization and seek opportunities to incorporate these principles into projects.
Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of New York.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Civil And Structural Design And Construction For Large-Scale Power Projects.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience With Relevant Industry Codes And Standards, Such As Asce, Aci, And Aisc.
Proven Experience In Managing And Leading A Team Of Engineers And Designers In The Successful Completion Of Complex Civil And Structural Projects.
