- Oversee and manage all financial operations of the New York Power Authority.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, including budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, to identify areas for improvement and make strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices and procedures.
- Manage the organization's budgeting process and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other external partners.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in financial management to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to inform long-term financial planning.
- Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Communicate financial results and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and ethical behavior within the finance department and across the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Relevant Work Experience In Financial Operations Or Management.
Strong Understanding Of Financial Principles And Analysis, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Financial Reporting.
Excellent Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Develop A Team.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Financial Strategies To Drive Business Growth And Improve Efficiency.
