- Lead and manage a team of power systems engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful project completion
- Design, develop, and maintain power systems infrastructure, including transmission, distribution, and generation systems
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and sustainability
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in power systems technology, and make recommendations for incorporating new technologies into our infrastructure
- Collaborate with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the successful integration of power systems with other systems and technologies
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Lead the development of technical specifications and standards for power systems engineering projects
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safety and reliability of power systems
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical support to other departments and teams within the organization
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the power systems engineering team, encouraging and implementing new ideas and processes to drive efficiency and sustainability.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Power Systems Engineering, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Power Systems Design, Operation, And Maintenance.
Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of New York Or Ability To Obtain Within 6 Months Of Employment.
Demonstrated Experience In Project Management, Including Budgeting, Scheduling, And Resource Allocation.
