As an Assistant System Planning Engineer II, you will support our System Planning Department in the development and execution of transmission and distribution system plans. Your technical expertise and analytical skills will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our power systems.   1. Support the System Planning Department in developing and executing transmission and distribution system plans.
  2. Utilize technical expertise and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues within the power systems.
  3. Collaborate with team members to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the power systems.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making and improve system performance.
  5. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials related to system planning.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in energy technology to make recommendations for improvements.
  7. Participate in meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical input and recommendations.
  8. Follow established engineering standards and protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and safety guidelines.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of system plans, data, and analyses.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve system planning operations.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and execution of projects.
  12. Adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In System Planning Or Related Field

  • Proficiency In Power System Analysis Software Such As Pss/E, Etap, Or Psse

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To System Planning, Such As Nerc, Ieee, And Nyiso

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And In A Team Environment.
