Job Description

Welcome to the New York Power Authority, the nation's largest state-owned electric utility. We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant for our S2 General Department Administration. As an integral part of our dynamic and fast-paced organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our daily operations and ensuring our department runs efficiently.   1. Provide administrative support to the S2 General Department Administration team.
  2. Manage and maintain department files, records, and databases.
  3. Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for department staff.
  4. Answer and direct phone calls and emails to appropriate team members.
  5. Prepare and edit department correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  6. Monitor and order office supplies and equipment as needed.
  7. Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting for the department.
  8. Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders on behalf of the S2 General Department.
  9. Conduct research and gather information as needed for department projects and initiatives.
  10. Proactively identify and address any operational inefficiencies or issues within the department.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Participate in team meetings and provide input on department processes and procedures.
  13. Act as a point of contact for department inquiries and requests.
  14. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment within the department and across the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required, Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Administrative Role.

  • Proficient In Microsoft Office Suite And Other Relevant Computer Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Group Of People.
