- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand user behaviors, content trends, and business objectives to inform taxonomy decisions.
- Conduct regular audits and analysis of existing taxonomy structures and metadata to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Drive innovation and growth by implementing new and innovative approaches to content categorization and metadata management.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to integrate taxonomy strategy into product development and improvements.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of content categorization and metadata across all regions and languages.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in taxonomy and information architecture to continuously improve Netflix's taxonomy strategy.
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for taxonomy processes and standards.
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure proper tagging and categorization of new and existing content.
- Monitor and analyze user feedback and data to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to taxonomy strategy.
- Communicate and present taxonomy strategy and updates to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Continuously monitor and improve the user experience of Netflix's global streaming platform through effective taxonomy management.
- Provide guidance and support to other teams on taxonomy-related projects and initiatives.
