Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Software Engineer to join our Content Middleware Infrastructure team at Netflix. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, building and improving a critical layer of content ingestion and distribution to our millions of members.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or another related field, and at least three years of experience in software engineering. You must be a self-motivated problem-solver with a passion for software engineering and a deep understanding of distributed systems and software architecture. You must also have a strong understanding of design principles, data structures, algorithms and software design patterns.We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and who brings a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail to their work. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, build, and improve content ingestion and distribution systems for Netflix.
  2. Develop software solutions to meet user requirements and solve complex problems.
  3. Utilize distributed systems and software architecture to create efficient and scalable solutions.
  4. Implement software engineering best practices and design principles, such as data structures and algorithms.
  5. Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  6. Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues.
  7. Ensure quality control standards are met.
  8. Stay up to date on new technologies and industry trends.
  9. Prioritize tasks and deliver projects on time.
