- Lead and manage the Offline Inference team, providing guidance and support to team members in order to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving the performance and efficiency of the Machine Learning Platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key projects and initiatives for the Offline Inference team.
- Drive the development and deployment of cutting-edge technologies for the platform, continuously seeking out new and innovative solutions.
- Monitor and track team progress, ensuring timely delivery of projects and identifying and addressing any potential roadblocks.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in machine learning, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
- Work closely with upper management to develop and implement long-term strategies for the Machine Learning Platform.
- Hire, train, and develop team members, providing regular feedback and opportunities for growth and development.
- Ensure that all projects and processes adhere to company standards and best practices, and that all team members are following established protocols.
Extensive Experience In Engineering: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Engineering, With A Focus On Developing And Managing Large-Scale Machine Learning Platforms. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Technical Landscape And Be Able To Effectively Lead A Team Of Engineers.
Proficiency In Machine Learning: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Machine Learning Concepts And Techniques, Including Offline Inference And Model Deployment. They Should Be Able To Effectively Translate Business Requirements Into Technical Solutions And Provide Guidance To The Team On Best Practices For Developing And Deploying Machine Learning Models.
Strong Leadership Skills: As An Engineering Manager, The Candidate Should Have Proven Experience In Leading And Mentoring A Team Of Engineers. They Should Have The Ability To Communicate Effectively Both With Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders, And Be Able To Inspire And Motivate Their Team To Achieve Results.
Experience With Offline Inference: The Engineering Manager Should Have A Strong Background In Offline Inference, Including Experience With Frameworks Such As Tensorflow, Pytorch, Or Mxnet. They Should Also Have Experience With Model Optimization And Deployment Strategies For Efficient Offline Inference.
Agile Project Management: The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Agile Project Management Methodologies And Have A Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Large-Scale Projects On Time And Within Budget. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Software Development Processes And Be Able To Effectively Prioritize And Delegate Tasks To Their Team.
