Distributed Systems Engineer (L4) - Data Platform

We are looking for an experienced Distributed Systems Engineer (L4) - Data Platform at Netflix who can hit the ground running and help us continue to develop and maintain our distributed systems. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying distributed systems that are reliable, scalable, and highly available.To be successful in this role, you should have an in-depth knowledge of distributed systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies. We’re looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and able to work independently as well as in a team.The ideal candidate should have:• A minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing distributed systems• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying distributed systems for mission-critical applications• Strong proficiency with cloud-based distributed systems such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting languages• Good understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and security• Experience with container-based technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker• Experience with Apache Kafka and Apache Spark• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skillsIf you’re the ideal candidate and you’re ready to take on this challenge, we want to hear from you!
