- Maintain and monitor the audiovisual infrastructure at Netflix, ensuring uninterrupted streaming for our members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to audiovisual equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new AV technologies and upgrades.
- Conduct regular maintenance and testing of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the user experience.
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure all AV systems are in compliance with company standards and policies.
- Provide technical support to production teams during live events and recordings.
- Train and educate staff on how to properly operate AV equipment and systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including equipment inventory and troubleshooting procedures.
- Manage and maintain relationships with external vendors for AV equipment and services.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement cost-saving measures for AV operations.
- Act as a technical expert and provide guidance to other team members when needed.
- Ensure all AV equipment and systems are in compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical AV systems.
- Continuously improve and optimize AV workflows and processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Experience With Live Event Production: An Av Engineer- Operations At Netflix Should Have Experience With Live Event Production, Including Setting Up And Operating Audio, Video, And Lighting Equipment.
Proficiency With Audio And Video Equipment: This Role Requires A Strong Understanding Of Audio And Video Equipment, Including Cameras, Microphones, Mixers, And Projectors. Candidates Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Operate This Equipment Effectively.
Knowledge Of Streaming And Encoding Technologies: Netflix Is A Streaming Platform, So It's Important For An Av Engineer- Operations To Have Knowledge Of Streaming Technologies And Encoding Techniques To Ensure High-Quality Playback For Viewers.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Other Team Members, Including Production Crews, Post-Production Teams, And Streaming Engineers. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
