Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver complex software systems for enterprise storage solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of software products.
Mentor and guide team members to continuously improve their technical skills and grow as professionals.
Take ownership of the development process and ensure that it follows best practices and high-quality standards.
Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Conduct regular code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.
Identify and resolve technical roadblocks and issues in a timely manner.
Stay updated with the latest software development trends and technologies to continuously enhance the product.
Communicate progress, challenges, and risks to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to the team and other departments.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure software quality through rigorous testing.
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve the software development process.
Participate in hiring and onboarding new team members.
Adhere to company policies and procedures and promote a positive work culture within the team.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Lead Systems Software Engineer At Netapp Must Possess A Strong Educational Background In Computer Science Or A Relevant Field. This Ensures That They Have A Solid Understanding Of Software Engineering Principles And Can Effectively Design And Implement Complex Systems.
Extensive Experience With Ontap C++: As This Role Specifically Requires Expertise In Ontap C++, A Qualified Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working With This Software. They Should Also Have A Detailed Understanding Of Its Functionalities And Be Able To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
Proficiency In Rtp/Ptc: Netapp's Lead Systems Software Engineer Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Rtp (Real-Time Performance) And Ptc (Performance Tuning And Configuration) In Order To Optimize The Performance Of The Systems They Are Working On.
Leadership Skills: As A Lead Systems Software Engineer, The Candidate Must Have Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Software Engineers. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Guidance And Mentorship To Junior Engineers.
Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: The Role Of A Lead Systems Software Engineer At Netapp Involves Identifying And Solving Complex Technical Issues.
