- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus that showcase high-quality, seasonal ingredients.
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards and recipes.
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks and prep cooks, to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Monitor kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as servers and front-of-house staff, to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Assist in creating and implementing new menu items and specials.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the menu.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Handle and resolve any kitchen-related issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets our high standards of taste and presentation.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement cost-effective strategies to increase profitability.

Culinary Degree: A Sous Chef At Mariposa Restaurant Should Have A Formal Education In Culinary Arts To Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Cooking Techniques And Knowledge Of Ingredients.
Prior Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience As A Sous Chef Or Similar Role In A High-End Restaurant, Preferably With Experience In Managing A Team.
Leadership Skills: The Sous Chef Must Have Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage The Kitchen Team And Ensure Smooth Operations. They Should Also Be Able To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Motivate The Team.
