As a Loss Prevention Investigator, you will play a crucial role in protecting the assets of our company through proactive monitoring, investigation, and prevention of theft and fraud. - Monitor and assess potential security risks within the store environment.
- Conduct thorough investigations into all reported instances of theft and fraud.
- Review and analyze surveillance footage to identify and track suspicious behavior.
- Collaborate with store management and security team to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
- Communicate and document all incidents and findings to appropriate parties.
- Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor to deter theft and fraud.
- Identify and report any vulnerabilities or weaknesses in the store's security measures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in loss prevention.
- Train and educate store employees on loss prevention methods and techniques.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to loss prevention and security.
Strong Understanding Of Retail Operations: A Qualified Loss Prevention Investigator At Neiman Marcus Group Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Retail Operations, Including Inventory Management, Point-Of-Sale Systems, And Customer Service. This Knowledge Is Essential For Detecting And Preventing Loss In A Retail Environment.
Experience In Loss Prevention: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge And Skills In Areas Such As Cctv Surveillance, Inventory Audits, And Fraud Detection.
Excellent Communication And Observation Skills: Loss Prevention Investigators Must Have Excellent Communication And Observation Skills To Effectively Monitor And Identify Potential Theft Or Fraudulent Activity. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Store Associates And Management To Address Any Issues That Arise.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws: A Qualified Loss Prevention Investigator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Related To Loss Prevention. This Includes Knowledge Of Laws Related To Shoplifting, Employee Theft, And Privacy Rights.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team: The Role Of A Loss Prevention Investigator At Neiman Marcus Group Requires Both Independent Work And Collaboration With Store Associates And Management. Candidates Should Be Able To Work Independently To Monitor And Investigate Potential Losses, But Also Be Able To Work Well With A Team To Address And Resolve Any Issues That Arise.
