- Develop and design innovative and on-trend garments for the Ready to Wear department.
- Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends and incorporate them into designs.
- Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and marketing to ensure designs meet business objectives.
- Utilize strong problem-solving skills to overcome design challenges and ensure garments are both fashionable and functional.
- Source and select high-quality fabrics and materials for designs.
- Attend fashion shows and industry events to gather inspiration and stay informed of trends.
- Work closely with patternmakers and sample makers to bring designs to life.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to inform design decisions.
- Ensure designs align with brand aesthetic and maintain brand standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the design process.
- Maintain clear communication and collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
- Follow through with production teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of designs.

Degree In Fashion Design Or Related Field: A Designer At Neiman Marcus Group Should Have A Formal Education In Fashion Design Or A Related Field To Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Design Principles, Techniques, And Industry Knowledge.

Proficiency In Design Software And Technology: Neiman Marcus Group Utilizes Cutting-Edge Design Software And Technology To Create And Present Their Collections. The Designer Should Be Proficient In Programs Such As Adobe Creative Suite And Have A Strong Understanding Of Digital Design Processes.
Strong Portfolio Showcasing Design Skills: A Designer At Neiman Marcus Group Should Have A Strong Portfolio Showcasing Their Design Skills, Including Sketches, Technical Drawings, And Completed Collections. The Portfolio Should Demonstrate A Unique And Cohesive Design Aesthetic That Aligns With The Brand's Image.
