  1. Work closely with the Buyer to develop and execute buying strategies for the Jewelry department.
  2. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify new and emerging designers and products.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential vendors to secure the best products and pricing for the company.
  4. Negotiate with vendors on pricing, product assortment, and delivery schedules to ensure profitability and timely availability of merchandise.
  5. Assist in the creation and management of departmental budgets, including forecasting and monitoring sales and inventory levels.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Store Operations to ensure effective execution of buying strategies.
  7. Plan and coordinate special events and promotions to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
  8. Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed buying decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
  9. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to minimize stock shortages and overstock situations.
  10. Develop and maintain product knowledge to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers and sales associates.
  11. Attend trade shows and buying trips to source new products and build relationships with vendors.
  12. Train and mentor buying assistants and support staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient buying team.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards in all buying activities.
  14. Uphold the company’s luxury standards and brand image through product selection and presentation.
  15. Continuously strive to meet or exceed sales and profit goals for the Jewelry department.

  • Excellent Analytical And Negotiation Skills: As An Assistant Buyer, Jewelry, You Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Sales Data, Identifying Opportunities For Growth, And Negotiating With Suppliers. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Negotiation Skills Are Essential.

  • Attention To Detail: Jewelry Is A High-End And Intricate Product Category, Which Requires A Keen Eye For Detail. The Assistant Buyer Should Have A Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Product Selection, Pricing, And Inventory Management.
