- Develop and implement company-wide employee relations policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to managers and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Conduct investigations and provide recommendations for resolution of complex employee relations issues, including harassment, discrimination, and workplace conflicts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics, ensuring that all employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as legal counsel, to stay up-to-date on changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to develop strategies for employee engagement and retention, promoting a culture of inclusivity and diversity.
- Advise and coach managers on performance management and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent practices across the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of HR policies and practices to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Serve as a mentor and leader to the employee relations team, providing guidance and support to promote professional development and growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on employee relations issues and trends within the organization.
- Monitor and analyze employee relations data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements to policies and procedures.
- Maintain a deep understanding of best practices in employee relations and proactively identify opportunities for NCR to enhance its practices and processes.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop and implement effective communication strategies that promote a positive employee experience.
- Represent NCR in legal proceedings related to employee relations matters, as needed.
Extensive Experience In Employee Relations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience Working In Employee Relations, With A Strong Understanding Of Labor Laws And Regulations.
Excellent Communication Skills: As The Executive Director Of Employee Relations, The Individual Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Employees At All Levels, As Well As With External Stakeholders Such As Unions And Government Agencies.
Leadership And Management Experience: The Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Oversee A Team Of Employee Relations Specialists And Manage Complex Employee Relations Issues. Previous Experience In A Managerial Position Is Preferred.
Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Executive Director Of Employee Relations Is Responsible For Developing And Implementing Effective Employee Relations Strategies And Resolving Conflicts Within The Organization. The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills And The Ability To Think Critically In High-Pressure Situations.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Resources Or Related Field: A Formal Education In Human Resources Or A Related Field Is Highly Desirable For This Role. It Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of Hr Principles And Practices, Which Is Essential For Success In This Position. A Professional Certification, Such As Shrm-Scp Or Sphr, Is Also Preferred.
