  2. Conduct Underwriting Analysis: Utilize analytical and critical thinking skills to review and assess applications, medical records, and other relevant information to make accurate underwriting decisions.
  3. Ensure Accuracy: Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in underwriting decisions and calculations.
  4. Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other members of the Group Health Underwriting department to assess and mitigate risk and determine appropriate rates.
  5. Communicate with Clients: Communicate with clients and brokers to gather necessary information and clarify underwriting guidelines and decisions.
  6. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and changes in the insurance market to make informed underwriting decisions.
  7. Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of underwriting decisions and other relevant information.
  8. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients and brokers by responding promptly and effectively to inquiries and concerns.
  9. Adhere to Guidelines and Standards: Follow established underwriting guidelines and standards to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  10. Continuously Improve Processes: Identify and recommend improvements to underwriting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Train and Mentor Junior Underwriters: Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters to develop their skills and knowledge in the field.
  12. Meet Deadlines: Work efficiently and effectively to meet underwriting deadlines and ensure timely delivery of policies to clients.
  13. Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.
