We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Trial Attorney to join our legal team at Nationwide Mutual Insurance. As a Sr. Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for handling complex and high-exposure litigation cases, providing strategic legal advice, and advocating for our company in court.   1. Represent the company in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
  2. Handle complex and high-exposure litigation cases, including insurance defense matters.
  3. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve successful outcomes.
  4. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients and colleagues on various legal issues.
  5. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  6. Prepare and file necessary legal documents and pleadings.
  7. Work closely with clients, internal teams, and outside counsel to ensure timely and efficient case management.
  8. Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations, as well as industry trends and best practices.
  9. Advocate on behalf of the company in negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes.
  10. Stay informed of developments in the legal field and share knowledge and insights with colleagues.
  11. Handle other legal tasks and projects as assigned by management.
  12. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  14. Uphold ethical standards and adhere to legal regulations and company policies.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience As A Trial Attorney, With A Focus On Insurance Defense Litigation

  • Admitted To Practice Law In The State(S) Where Nationwide Conducts Business

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Insurance Law, Including Coverage Issues And Claims Handling Practices

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Trial Experience, Including First-Chair Experience In Complex And High-Exposure Cases.
