- Provide strategic legal counsel and support for Nationwide's reinsurance and alternative risk businesses.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to reinsurance and alternative risk transactions.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents pertaining to reinsurance and alternative risk transactions.
- Advise business units on legal risks and potential liabilities related to reinsurance and alternative risk.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to reinsurance and alternative risk.
- Represent Nationwide in negotiations and legal proceedings related to reinsurance and alternative risk.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other third-party service providers.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to reinsurance and alternative risk.
- Provide training and guidance to junior legal team members on reinsurance and alternative risk matters.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and claims, to ensure alignment and consistency in legal advice and strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices for reinsurance and alternative risk transactions.
- Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation and records.

Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Reinsurance And Alternative Risk Transactions, Preferably In A Corporate Or Law Firm Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Insurance And Reinsurance Industry Trends, Regulations, And Market Dynamics.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Negotiating And Structuring Complex Reinsurance And Alternative Risk Transactions.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization.
