Job Description

Nationwide Mutual Insurance is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices. The Risk Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the organization’s risk exposure and recommending strategies for mitigating these risks. The successful candidate will be a team player who is comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment.Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field, plus at least two years of experience in risk management, analytics, auditing, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will also have experience with risk management software and be comfortable working with spreadsheets and databases. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and evaluate the organization’s risk exposure and recommend strategies for mitigating risks.
  2. Utilize risk management software and work with spreadsheets and databases.
  3. Develop comprehensive risk management plans.
  4. Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance with risk management standards.
  5. Maintain and update risk management documents.
  6. Identify and assess potential risks and develop strategies to manage them.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations about risk management activities.
  8. Participate in regular risk management meetings and provide updates.
  9. Collaborate with various departments to ensure risk management protocols are adhered to.
  10. Liaise with external stakeholders, such as auditors and insurance companies.
