Job Description

At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for a talented and experienced Risk Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of risk management principles and practices, and a commitment to helping Nationwide reach its business objectives. We are seeking an individual who is a highly motivated self-starter, capable of working independently and collaboratively to identify, analyze, and quantify risks.The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, economics, or a related field, as well as 5+ years of experience in risk management or a related field. The Risk Analyst must have strong knowledge of financial and economic concepts, as well as experience with risk management software and tools. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and help guide Nationwide’s strategies to mitigate risk. Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and identify risk management strategies, including financial and economic concepts.
  2. Quantify risks and develop risk management solutions.
  3. Utilize risk management software and tools.
  4. Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Monitor and assess risk management strategies and practices.
  6. Develop long-term strategies to mitigate risk.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations related to risk management.
  8. Provide guidance and support to the risk management team.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry and regulatory developments that could affect risk management strategies.
  10. Assist with other risk management related tasks as needed.
