
Multi-Family Facilities Technician

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs for multi-family properties, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and work to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure they are operating properly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify and address any potential maintenance or safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with residents and property management teams to establish and maintain positive relationships.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including costs and materials used.
- Work with outside contractors when necessary to complete larger projects or repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in building maintenance technology.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for the properties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Building Maintenance And Repair Procedures: A Multi-Family Facilities Technician At Nationwide Mutual Insurance Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Building Maintenance And Repair Procedures, Including Plumbing, Electrical, Hvac, And Carpentry.
Experience With Multi-Family Properties: Experience Working With Multi-Family Properties, Such As Apartment Complexes Or Condominiums, Is A Key Qualification For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Needs Of These Types Of Properties.
Ability To Troubleshoot And Problem Solve: The Role Of A Multi-Family Facilities Technician Requires The Ability To Quickly Identify And Troubleshoot Maintenance Issues And Come Up With Effective Solutions. This Requires Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Think On Their Feet.
Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Multi-Family Facilities Technician, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Tenants, Property Managers, And Other Team Members. Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential For Building Positive Relationships And Ensuring A High Level Of Tenant Satisfaction.
