Job Description

Nationwide Mutual Insurance is looking for an experienced and talented Data Analyst to join our team! As a Data Analyst at Nationwide Mutual Insurance, you will be part of a highly collaborative and dedicated team of professionals that value innovation and ingenuity. We are seeking an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a passion for data-driven solutions, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.To excel in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field. In addition, you should have extensive experience in data analysis and the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop meaningful insights. You should also be proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R. Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark is also highly preferred. Finally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze large sets of data to develop meaningful insights and solutions.
  2. Develop data-driven strategies and solutions that meet business goals.
  3. Utilize programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R to create and maintain databases.
  4. Utilize distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark to optimize data processing.
  5. Identify trends and patterns in data and develop reports to communicate findings.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  8. Monitor and maintain data systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  9. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Provide training and technical support to colleagues or customers.
