Data Analyst

At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights and analytics for a variety of projects and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, from business teams to technology teams, in order to uncover and analyze data that will help drive business decisions. The ideal candidate for this position has strong problem-solving and analytical skills, is highly organized, and is able to communicate complex data in an easily understandable manner. We are looking for someone with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, mathematics, or economics, and at least two years of experience in a related role. Expertise in Excel and SQL is required, and experience with Tableau is preferred. Additionally, knowledge of data warehouse design and ETL processes is a plus. Responsibilities:

• Utilize Excel and SQL to analyze data and provide meaningful insights
• Design and implement data warehouse models to support business needs
• Create data visualization tools to communicate data story

• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define data requirements
• Document data analysis processes and results
• Monitor data quality and accuracy and take corrective action when needed
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data analytics
