Job Description

At Nationwide Mutual Insurance, we are always looking for talented and hard-working individuals to join our team. We are currently seeking a Compliance Officer with the perfect combination of knowledge, experience, and dedication to join our Compliance team.The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that Nationwide Mutual Insurance and its subsidiaries remain compliant with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. This position requires an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and has the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel. The successful candidate should possess a combination of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of the insurance industry.The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field, as well as at least three years of experience in the insurance industry. The Compliance Officer must also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities of the Compliance Officer:

  1. Ensure that Nationwide Mutual Insurance and its subsidiaries remain compliant with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  2. Monitor and assess compliance processes and procedures.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to improve compliance processes and procedures.
  4. Educate and inform internal stakeholders about compliance requirements.
  5. Ensure that all required documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  6. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry and its related regulations.
  7. Investigate and respond to any potential compliance issues.
  8. Monitor changes in regulations and assess the potential impact on the organization.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations.
  10. Prepare and submit reports to executive management and regulatory agencies.
